R. M. Schindler: The Prequel
An exhibition at the MAK Center for Art and Architecture tracing Rudolph Schindler’s architectural training and influences, within the house he built. Two principal modes of engagement draw visitors through the spaces: historical imagery and text to be explored on the radial leaves of a column installation, and an audio-visual projection animating the narrative. A display designed to match the rigor of Schindler’s practice and careful study of space; integrated and non-interfering while still being impactful.
